The King’s School requires the following security checks and training for all staff and volunteers.

Criminal Record Check

You can apply either online or in person.

Online - enter "The King's School" as the company asking for the search, but you will have to make electronic copies of your ID and provide some sort of security check; the process is explained as you go. When it is complete, you will give the school permission to see it and we will get an email telling us that the check is available for us to see.

In-person - Police Headquarters at 245 Smith Street, between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm with the appropriate ID and it will be mailed to you.

If you live outside the city, you can apply at your local RCMP office.

If a completed check is received by mail, please submit it to the office as soon as possible.

Child Abuse Registry Check

You will need to provide two valid pieces of government-issued identification (ID), one of which must include your name, date of birth, signature, and photo with an expiry date.

You can apply online, by mail, or in person:

• MAIL (click to download the application and instructions)

• IN PERSON on the 1st floor at 777 Portage Avenue.

Once your completed check is received, please submit it to the office as soon as possible.

Respect in School

This training contains 6 modules and will take about 90 minutes to complete. You may pause your training at any point, and the system will remember where you left off when you return.

Use your SCHOOL email as your username to register. You will be asked who you are associated with in the Manitoba Department of Education. Click on the plus sign, scroll down, click Funded Independent Schools, scroll down again, and click The King's School.

Once completed, print/send your certificate and submit it to the office.
